The latest iteration of this legendary dynamic microphone will work with any XLR interface, making it easier for podcasters, streamers and musicians to get perfect vocals from every recording setup.

The SM7dB provides creators and audio engineers with the exact rugged construction and the legendary audio quality of the SM7B, with the addition of a phantom-powered, built-in preamp that provides a supplementary +18 or +28 decibles (dB) of clean gain. In a sleek, all-black design, it's the perfect dynamic microphone for big-time broadcasting, professional podcasts or critical studio recordings.

Main features of the Shure SM7dB include:

  • Built-in Preamp - Providing up to +28 dB of low-noise, flat, transparent, switchable gain. All you need is an interface or mixer offering +48V phantom power to operate the preamp
  • Gain Level - Choose between a boost of +18dB or +28dB from the preamp
  • Bypass Switch - Bypass mode allows you to forego the built-in preamp in case you prefer to feed the mic’s unboosted signal into your professional console or interface. Bypassing the preamp reverts the SM7dB to original SM7B performance
  • Wide Frequency Response - Whether you’ve activated the preamp or not, you’ll get the same great detail in your recordings from a proven dynamic cartridge and frequency range of 50 to 20,000Hz
  • Cardioid Polar Pattern - Excellent rear-rejection and textbook cardioid pick-up pattern isolates your voice from any background noise
  • Low Cut & Presence Boost Filters - Just like the SM7B, the SM7dB offers multiple sound signatures using switches on the back of the microphone to suit any type of voice or instrument

In stock orders placed before 4pm are dispatched same day.

All items are sent with DPD. For added security, expensive items will require a pin code at delivery which is emailed to you.

DPD aims to deliver next day, but some remote parts of the UK may experience a two day service.

Returns.

Should you wish to change your mind, you have 30 days from the date of receipt to do so. Simply drop us an email to info@westenddj.co.uk and we'll guide you through the process.

Westend DJ recommend that you open any items received from us carefully, as any damage to the internal packaging or missing items may incur a discretionary re-stocking fee.

Some goods are not eligible for return. This is because they are either consumables or due to hygiene reasons, these include: microphones, effect fluids, styli, crossfaders and line faders, headphones and replacement parts.

  • All products are backed up by a minimum 12 month
    manufacturer warranty.
  • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
    considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
    charge.
  • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
  • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
    customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
  • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
