The Denon DJ SC6000M Prime Media Player is the motorised platter flagship of the Prime range. The Prime series of players makes use of an advanced multi-core processor to deliver features that were previously only possible when using a Mac or PC. The powerful architecture of the SC6000 allows it to run the latest Engine OS and provides exciting opportunities for the evolution of the player and in turn the DJ booth.

Denon DJ have included a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen to provide both control and visual feedback. The Prime series has always made great use of the touchscreen as part of the Engine workflow and the SC6000M is no exception. The large screen is especially useful for dual layer mode playback and it gives Denon DJ the capability to develop new features without the need to change the hardware. When you combine the touchscreen with the powerful processing power on board, the SC6000M is a professional DJ product which can evolve over time.

The SC6000M has built-in WIFI and wired internet connectivity to power music streaming. From launch the player supports streaming from Tidal with more services to be added over time. Streaming truly is the next phase in the evolution of DJ’ing – our marketplace is lagging behind the rest of the world when it comes to the consumption of music, with physical sales and even downloads falling considerably. The streaming capability can also get you out of a jam if you’re asked for a track that isn’t part of your collection – whether you’re in a DJ booth at a club or you’re playing at a wedding or party, simply search for the track via the streaming service and play to keep the crowd happy!

Accessing your library is simple, either connect a USB drive or drag and drop tracks from your computer onto the internal HDD after you’ve installed one that is suitable for your needs. The SATA drive bay can handle both SSD and traditional drives giving you plenty of drive options that should be able to handle even the largest collections of music.

Denon DJ have continued the long-standing relationship with Serato DJ and the SC6000M can be used as a Serato DJ Pro controller in a future update. This is great news, as the improved platter design is not only larger (at 8.5-inches) but it also feels much better. Interestingly, Denon DJ have achieved a larger platter size without needing to sacrifice space for other controls – this has been achieved by using a steeper angle between the base and the top. Another improved feature are the rubber performance pads which are also aesthetically pleasing.

With all this considered, the Denon DJ SC6000M Prime is an exciting addition to the range. The player demonstrates Denon DJ’s commitment to producing booth ready product that innovates and evolves the craft of the DJ. Should you wish to change your mind, you have 30 days from the date of receipt to do so. Simply drop us an email to info@westenddj.co.uk and we'll guide you through the process.

Westend DJ recommend that you open any items received from us carefully, as any damage to the internal packaging or missing items may incur a discretionary re-stocking fee.

Some goods are not eligible for return. This is because they are either consumables or due to hygiene reasons, these include: microphones, effect fluids, styli, crossfaders and line faders, headphones and replacement parts.

    manufacturer warranty.
  • Items that are faulty within thirty days of receipt are
    considered Dead on Arrival or Faulty out of Box. For these returns, we will arrange for the goods to be collected so that they can be returned free of
    charge.
  • Items that display a fault after the thirty-day period are covered under manufacturer’s warranty. During the first six months of ownership, we’ll collect any faulty items from you free of charge where convenient for you.
  • Outside of 6 months, the cost of return rests with the
    customer, if you’re struggling to ship a large item back to us, or if this is proving to be expensive please give us a call – we’ll arrange for DPD to collect the item for a fee.
  • Once warranty repairs are received back with us, we’ll perform a quick test to verify the issue to avoid no fault found fees. Next, we’ll arrange to send the faulty goods to the manufacturer to be repaired. This process normally takes around two to four weeks; however, we cannot provide a guaranteed timeframe.
