The third-generation Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 takes it up a notch with eight of Focusrite's best sounding 3rd Gen mic preamps, 18 inputs and 20 outputs in total housed in a 1U rack-mountable enclosure. the 18i20 delivers superior sound quality, talkback function and onboard speaking switching. Improved 24-bit/192kHz conversion ensures pristine recordings and super clean playback, vital for getting the perfect mix.

The Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen features eight Scarlett 3rd Gen mic preamps with optional Air setting to reproduce the Air effect of Focusrite's iconic ISA mic preamp, giving your vocal or acoustic recordings a brighter and more open sound. A pad on every mic preamp accommodates higher-level signals without clipping. The two front panel high-headroom instrument inputs allow you to record guitars and basses without any clipping or unwanted distortion.

The 18i20 features speaker-switching technology which allows you to switch between main and alt monitors to get a new perspective on your mix, and the new built-in talkback mic lets you communicate with your recording artist at the touch of a button, helping you capture that perfect take.

A pair of virtual loopback inputs allows you to capture a stereo feed of any combination of hardware input and software playback channels – making podcasting, live streaming and sampling tasks easier.

Scarlett 18i20 is designed to stand up to days on the road and connects straight to your Mac® or PC via USB cable. It comes with all the software tools you need to get started: two comprehensive digital audio workstations, Ableton® Live Lite™ and Pro Tools® First Focusrite Creative Pack; Softube’s Time and Tone Bundle; Focusrite’s Red Plug-in Suite; a choice of one of four of XLN Audio’s Addictive Keys.

    A slimmed-down version of the legendary Reason virtual studio, Reason Rack Plugin Lite lets you run the full Reason Rack as a VST3/AU/AAX plugin in any Mac or PC DAW. The Rack plays host to 19 characterful devices, including the Redrum drum machine, Subtractor and Monotone synths, ID8 ROMpler, Scream4 Distortion, RV7000 Reverb, MClass mastering effects, and Scales & Chords MIDI processor. They can be used individually, or freely combined, connected and routed via Reason’s famous ‘backside’ patching interface to construct elaborate modular hybrids. And support for Rack Extensions means your device list can be bolstered with any of over 700 add-on devices in the Reason Studios Shop at any time.
