The Akai LPD8 is the perfect controller for musicians, producers and DJs. It's extremely compact and portable enough to fit in the smallest of backpacks for you to have hands-on control practically anywhere.
This compact USB-MIDI controller combines 8 backlit velocity-sensitive drum trigger pads, perfect for programming rhythmic or melodic parts. These pads have quadruple functions which can be selected via the four smaller buttons to the left. The lower four pads become preset buttons allowing you to switch between presets. All of the controls can be changed using the LPD8 editing software. The LPD8 also features 8 rotary 270‑degree control knobs which are have a minimum/maximum range assignable for each knob - use these to tweak effects or control VSTs.
The LPD8 has four memory banks, so you can set it up to work with each of your chosen software programs instantly. It's also class-compliant and USB-powered, so there's no drivers to install and there's no power adapter required.
